Downtown Yonge is bringing Fashion on Yonge back to the neighbourhood for yet another year, but this time with a new venue! For the past two years this has been one of our favourite events because it shows off just how vibrant our neighbourhood is, especially when it comes to fashion.
Each year Fashion on Yonge showcases what the upcoming fall trends will be using apparel and accessories from retailers all over Yonge Street. Over 150 stores are participating this year, like Bench, Danier, and Town Shoes, who have donated items to put all 300 outfits together.
There will be three runway shows you can check out, ranging from casual wear to formal wear. Watch out for the Toronto Men’s Fashion Week ‘Emerging Menswear Designer’ winner, whose threads will be shown off at the show. In addition to watching the runway shows there will also be food from local restaurants available to munch on, or you can treat yourself to a mini-manicure. It’s really bigger and better than ever!
Doors open at 5pm, so come early. There will be a DJ there keeping the crowd entertained until the show starts at 6pm. It’s entirely free and taking place at 444 Yonge Street, which you can access on the south side of College Park right across from our building.
