What's New in the Neighbourhood?

Just moved into the neighbourhood? Well so did a bunch of great places to check out, hang out, or eat out. For those of you who just moved into our building, supporting businesses in the area is a great way to start exploring the neighbourhood! So here’s a few we recommend checking out:

SIGNS
When this new restaurant opened a few months ago, it was the talk of the town. SIGNS not only has great food and a great vibe, but there’s a really unique concept behind it. The entire staff is deaf, meaning that diners must use sign language to communicate with their servers - that means ordering any drinks, food, asking for the bill, etc. is communicated through sign language. Definitely puts an interesting spin on your typical dining experience!

Jule
If you’re a fan of fancy tea drinks, this is the place to go. They’ve got an assortment of specialty drinks as well as the classic bubble tea. You can split a piece of cake between you and a friend (or get your own) too. Having only opened a few months ago, this place is notorious for having really friendly and helpful staff. There’s even free WiFi, which makes for a great place to grab a drink and get some work done!

Blue Jays Flagship
The Blue Jays lost retail space in the Eaton Centre with the closing of Sears, so they decided to open their own store in the mall to make up for it. This flagship store carries merchandise of all kinds sporting the Blue Jays logo that was redesigned just a few years ago. So next spring if you’re looking for Blue Jays gear, you know where to look.
College Station Cafe
As the name suggests, this cafe is literally steps away from College Station. They’ve got a variety of baked goods, soups, and sandwiches that are made fresh, making it a great option for either breakfast or lunch. There’s also coffee (of course!) which is convenient to grab before you head to the subway to go to work.

Honey
Honey is a women’s fashion boutique that has locations in Bayview Village, Yorkdale, and Sherway Gardens and has finally opened up shop in the Eaton Centre. If you’re looking for designer-ish and trendy threads that won’t completely break the bank, this is a good choice. They’ve always got a great selection of dresses too! Perfect for all those holiday events that are quickly approaching.
